SERVICES AND RESOURCES
   
 
 

Academicians at GSM are highly trained and experienced in their area of expertise. Each lecturer has at least a decade of experience in both teaching and research. These Professors and Associate Professors do consultancy, training and research for the Government and private sectors. Mainly their services relates to the economic, business and management either local or at international scene
 










 



 



TRAINING AND CONSULTANCY

The Graduate School also offers services to corporate organisations (both in the public and private sectors) on training programmes for executives and managers. A variety of development programmes designed to suit the needs of specific organisations and industry can be developed by the Graduate School.

 

The Graduate School also offers management development programmes for senior managers and top management programmes for Chief Executive Officers/ Chief Operating Officers in specific areas of business management.

Some of the selected types of Training Programmes that GSM provides are Coaching and Counseling, Project Management, Entrepreneurial Training in Business Plan, Advanced Problem Solving, Decision Making and Customer Service for Managers.

 

Consultancy is available to solve immediate problems and to give strategic advice. It offers access to expertise that may otherwise be unaffordable to organisation on a regular basis, providing access to skills that can help development which make a tangible contribution to company innovation and change.

 

Some of the areas that the School has provided are designing the accounting information system for a government agency, designing the Malaysian Stock Index Futures Contracts for MDEX. Strategic Planning for non-profit agencies as well as private corporations and constructive destruction of KLSE companies during the financial turmoil.

 

The School is constantly updating the services and providing appropriate programmes to business and community groups.

RESEARCH

Research underpins the intellectual strength of the institution and plays an essential role in informing the quality of total academic provision. GSM has a strong reputation for the quality of research. Research enables academicians to probe further the respective discipline and ultimately derives satisfaction when they manage the boundary of knowledge.

The main areas of research activity at GSM are concentrated in a number of key disciplines such as management, economics, IT, social sciences and accounting. GSM works with private sector businesses ranging from major multinationals, and with local and national public sector. The School ensures that all research grants are properly utilised and findings of the research are accordingly disseminated.
